History of IPSANZ

The Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand Inc (“IPSANZ”) was incorporated in 1987.

Originally known as The Industrial Property Society Australia (“IPSA”), it was a representative body formed to meet the needs of Technical Assistants within the Intellectual Property field. The Society has grown and developed significantly since that time and now represents patent attorneys, intellectual property lawyers, academics and industry members.

The Society has over 1,300 members in Australia and New Zealand and also has some international members.
